V 1.0.30 - The final content update!
It's been a long time coming, and just shy of its one year anniversary we've decided it's finally time to release the final content update for Diggin' It!
We'll largely let this update do the talking for itself, but included are a bundle of new quality of life tweaks and more, including:
- Refined controls to make pure keyboard, pure mouse, or a mixture of keyboard and mouse play far easier to manage
- Updates to some enemy and champion behaviors allowing them to do a few new things
- Two brand new endings for a total of four possible conclusions
- Additional secrets to be found and discovered
- A general balance overhaul, while it's still possible to get some truly unfortunate luck early in, a majority of runs should be capable of reaching the mid-game and beyond
- A sound when your oxygen is running low and additional sfx for some things in general
- A handful of brand new tracks from Zan-zan-zawa-veia to keep you jammin' out
- A brand new, readable story you can access from the title screen, with writing assistance from Pauli M. Kohberger, author and main illustrator of Electricopolis ( check it out at https://electricopolis.net/ )
- And more!
We wanted to ensure with this update that we released the best possible game we could have within the constraints of that tiny engine we set forth with almost a year ago, and we hope you enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed making it. Be sure to post videos or screencaps from your runs if you can, we're always excited to see feedback and reactions and looking forward to seeing people unearth all the hidden secrets we've got in store!
Thank you to everyone who played the initial jam releases and provided us with valuable feedback, and thanks to everyone who helped this release come together. Now get out there, and get diggin'!

You two improved this game so much since the jam, it's so excellent and expressive now... really pleased and lucky to have my music be part of the experience <3
